STUDIES IN APRIL 06!

Sabbath Shul April 29nth, at The Barkey's Home, 1:00-6:00PM  Parsha 27 AND 28  Torah Parsha 27 Tazria 12:1-13:59 Melechim Bet 4:42-5:19 Brit Chadasha Mattityahu 8:1-4, Luka 17:11-19 Torah Parsha 28 Mtzora 14:1-15:33  Haftarah Melechim Bet 7:3-20 Brit Chadasha Moshe-Markus 5:24b-34  Discussions began revolving around the two house teaching and the possibility of a third class, or a "third" house as one brother termed it. Just how this might work out, was under some discussion as well, although the consensus was that in the end, they would have to be grafted into one of the two houses, most likely the Hose of Israel. Some comments on languages, and their tower of babel implications, as well as the corruption of language today. Some of the parsha realted to mixing seeds, and some discussion on the how there are all these new fruits and veggies that are being grown that are being genetically altered even so much as mixing DNA from insects into the DNA of plants. A rather disgusting prospect, and completely against Yah commands, brining us in this modern age into as it was in the "days of Noah."  Some of our efforts to teach and proclaim the truth to the Pakistanis was discussed as well as the missions trip that is upcoming on the part of brother Simon Altaf.  We will updated as events occur. May Yah bless his efforts to reach these people for Yahshua. From the Parsha, some discussion arose regarding why it was that the time of separation for a woman birthing a girl was twice as long as if she birthed a boy.  Some sages apparently suggest that this is so that the mother can be at the circumcision of the baby boy.  The passages on leprosy and their cleanings or separaton were discussed, and some interesting parallels were drawn on the concept of washing the clothing after the leper was declared cleansed by the priest. Fabulous dinner served and fellowshop ensued. Special thanks to the Barkeys for opening their home to us for the first time. Baruch Ha Shem YHWH.

Sabbath Shul April 22nd, at Brother Randy's home, 1:00-4:00PM  Torah Parsha 26 Shmini 9:1-11:47 Haftarah Schmuel Bet 6:1-7:17 Brit Chadasha Moshe-Markus 7:1-23 read and discussed. Some initial discussions regarding the prophecy in Zechariah 9:13. Some other discussions on how to tell those in the Churches about the truth we have discovered in our various studies of the scriptures.  Historical overview of Protestantism breaking with the Catholic church, and how all churches fit into this historical context. Great meal and fellowship ensued.

Sabbath Shul April 15nth, at the Olson's home, 1:00-4:00PM A wonderful Torah study hosted by the Olson's.

Fellowshipping was followed by the presentation of a number of books that explain the Kadosh Days; how various factions reckon their time, and how they keep them. This led into a discussion on how to figure the OMER; (i.e. which Shabbat do we use, annual: High Days or the weekly Shabbat?).

Moshe's comments # 6+8  concerning Lev.23:15 was looked up in the Chumash, ( I am assuming it was a Stone's Chumash) and the word in the Chumash does seem to indicate the High Day Shabbat or Shabbaton.

Question was asked: Are we in the Brit Chadasha/New Covenant; or is the Ruach HaKodesh just a down payment until the Brit is fulfilled?

Brother Olson sung a blessing for The Word.

Torah Parsha # 25 was read.

* 8:15 Why did an inanimate object, (i.e. The alter) need atoning?

Conclusion: Because all of man's works are as filthy rags.

Between the readings;

* Obedience is a sweet savior to Abba. Part of our obedience is staying in these Torah studies as we become "One Stick" in HIS hand.

* Discussion  of our need to be praying for one another and for our families; especially those who are falling away. Matt.5:18 Brit Chadasha reading shows us how Yah is going to use us in HIS own way. An added reading was I Cor.10:14-22 "You are either for ME or against ME" We cannot mix the evil with the good Final hymn: Great is Thy Faithfulness A wonderful meal containing many unleavened "goodies" as well as a delicious lasagna made with Matzah rather then the traditional pasta. Food and fellowship were very excellent. Todah Rabah to the Olson's for the feast and hosting the study.

Todah Rabah also to all who brought extras to add to the meal. May HaMoshiach come soon and very soon!

Sabbath Shul April 8th, Jackson Location, 1:00-5:00PM Parsha 24 dealt with the sacrificial system set up by Yah for the Levitical priesthood.  Before the Parsha was read, some initial discussions regarding the Islamic threat, day of the rising, whether Sabbath or the first day, as well as some reminisces of the street ministry and running into the King James only folks. Once into the Parsha, some more notable points was the fact that the offerings that were collected were voluntary in nature, and many gladly came and donated for the Tabernacle work. Interestingly enough, so much came in that Moshe had to tell the people to stop bringing stuff because they had enough. All five types of offerings were read about and discussed lightly. The sin offering had an interesting part in it that called for a male goat if a ruler transgressed, but a female goat if a commoner transgressed.  We also discussed the Gematria of the word Perfect in Hebrew, that of Tamim which has a number value of seven times seventy, equaling four hundred and ninety.  A corollary was mentioned regarding the Messiah telling Kefa that to forgive, it must be seven times seventy, inferring the perfection of the Father. This reference is in Mattiyahu 18:22.

Sabbath Shul April 1st, outside Jackson, 1:00-5:00PM   Torah Parsha 23 Pekudei 38:21-40:38 Haftarah Melechim Alef 7:51-8:21 Brit Chadasha Maaseh Shlichim 1:1-11 Shul began with a hymn that most of us knew, titled "How Great Thou Art."  Most us us who have come out of the church system recognized this hymn and find it one of our favorites. After some initial discussion and fellowship, we then moved into the living room to see some slides of Israel that brother Richard, and his wife took while visiting Israel. Some of the locations seen included Mount Gerizim, the sea of Galil, and the mock Tabernacle set up that tourists can pya to see, as well as other locations.  Scriptures were read in connection with these places. After the slides were finished, the Pasha was read, and several discussions developed from this. The Parsha itself regarded the implements of the Tabernacle, the sockets and things that held the panels together, and the placement of some of the kadosh articles. The rings that held the poles in the Ark were discussed, as to the exact location the rings were, in order to give the Ark the most stability when being carried by the Levites  Some discussion on the available tours to Israel, including the ones that Michael Rood conducts. . A great dinner served (special thanks to sister Clore for the great food preps) Shul ended well, as our souls were uplifted and regenerated for another week.
