SABBATH SERVICES IN APRIL 2005

Sabbath, April 2nd 1:00-6:00PM , Jackson Location - This was the first official Sabbath Shul which was on the new schedule.  Torah portions were read and discussed. Monte Judah teaching followed the reading, and Mexican pizza was served (special thanks to brother Yochanan).

Sabbath, April 9nth 1:00-10:00 PM, Brooklyn/Napoleon location - This Shul was one of the best we have had the pleasure of attending.  It ran for nearly 9 hours! Filled with great fellowship, Torah Portion, Great Meal (special thanks to sister Laura for her excellent culinary skills!!) and several MIDRASH discussions, including more discussion on the Aviv Barley ideas, the "Seat of Moses," statement made by the Messiah Himself in Matthiyahu 23, the situation in the churches, Praise reports from encounters with the churches, prayer request for future encounters with blinded Yisrael in the churches, and a general and wonderful spirit of love and shalom that only the Ruach Ha' Kodesh could give us!  We also discussed the pros and cons of getting a building for the sole purpose of meeting together in a central location. - Shul location next week is under discussion.

Sabbath, April 16nth 1:00-5:00PM, Jackson Location - Shul was very good with a very large fellowship this Sabbath. We thank YHWH for increasing our borders and adding to us new people to hear the truths in His Word.  Discussion begun the Shul, the Shema was recited, Messiah's supper was done, and the Torah portion was read and commented on by all. A wonderful dinner was served (special thanks to sister colleen!) and the Torah commentary was listened to, via the Monte Judah teaching series.  We hope to see a large group next weekend for Pesach/Passover and Shul.

Sabbath, April 23rd, Shul Location Waldron : Sons were sung with instrumentation *special thanks to brother Troy* These Songs From the album, Rise and Shine-  by Paul Wilber - Shema Yisrael, Hinai Ma Tov, Come Let Us Go Up, He Shall Reign, Song of Moses, Bless the YHWH. Prayer was offered.  Torah portion read and discussed heavily.

Torah Parsha 29 Acharei Mot 16:1-18:30 . Haftarah Yeshayahu 53:1-12 Brit Chadasha Ivrim 7:23-10:25

1) Discussion on the trinity of YHWH, with the Ruach ha Kodesh some suggested an exact 1 of the personhood of YHWH. others suggested compound unity and separate entities. The triangle analogy was discussed, as well as some other ideas, such as the Shin analogy. 2) Discussion on what belief means.  Does it mean to just mentally recognize? Or does believe mean to put into action.  Belief means to put into action the plan and teachings of YHWH. 3) Issues of so called eternal security, or the judgment of Yahweh, from a passage in Hebrew chapter 10:26 as follows - 26 "For if we sin willfully after that we have received the da’at of the emet, there remains no more sacrifice for sins,"  does this mean that if a person sins again, that they are eternally lost?  These and other discussions were taken on after the Torah reading.

Pesach, at 6:00PM - Brother Yac'ob hosted an excellent Seder, which was filled with many scriptural truths, as we remember our Pesach Lamb, Yahshua. The lamb was great, and the other fixings. We hope to enjoy another Pesach next year!

Sabbath, April 30 Torah Parsha 30 Kedoshim Wayiqra 19:1-20:27 Haftarah Ahmos 9:7-15 Brit Chadasha Maaseh Shlichim 15:1-21

Discussion over mixing different kinds of fibers. - Wayiqra 19 :19 You shall guard My chukim.8 You shall not let your cattle mate with a diverse kind: you shall not sow your field with mixed zera:9 neither shall a garment mixed of linen and wool come upon you.   Some said it should not be mixed between only the two mentioned, some go further to suggest a “principle” of Shatnezz,  Discussion of kosher issues.  Garbage eaters versus clean meats. Or, was it only the cooking issues back then ?  Or, is it that the health issue is preeminent ?  YHWH created these creatures to clean up the environment, and if over harvested, they can no longer be present to clean up the environment. Good comments.  Discussion about the influx or mediums and stargazers in the USA.  How the commands say not to consult them - 31 Regard not those who are mediums, neither seek after spiritists, to be defiled by them:- especially are these people seen on television, and the television shows are becoming increasingly filled with these occultist practices.  Discussion on the on how to deal with churchians who treat us badly for following Torah.   Discussion of the early assembly and the ruling in ACTS, as a way to bring them slowly into Torah Observance, whereby they could hear of it every Shabbat in the synagogues.

Monte Judah Torah portion commentary CD - YHWH gives us Kadosh-ness, we cannot acquire it in and of ourselves.  As you perform the commandments, YHWH gives us Kadosh-ness.  Monty went through several examples of how someone can demonstrate the Kadosh-behaviour that YHWH gives through instruction in the Torah. Paying money that is owed to someone promptly, to return something promptly, to not bear a grudge or resort to vengeance with people come against you.  The analogy of the fence is used in these discussions.  Monty comments on the Shatnezz commands in Wayiqra 19 :19 by stating that this command deals with not disturbing the order that YHWH establishes from the beginning. Part of the definition of Kadosh-ness is in the sexual behaviour.  Ties "soothsaying," with those charismatic folks who come up and give a personal prophecy with no sign, and nothing going on that coheres with what is spiritually going on with you.  Vineyard practices, barking and meowing sounds, and even worse things that Churchians say is a mark of the Ruach Ha'Kodesh. Monte went into some detail regarding honouring the aged and what this entailed.

Discussed the idea of reverence, and some felt that no man should be reverenced.  However, the concept of honouring the aged and the elder, was confirmed by all, since Torah speaks of it. Discussed the witch of Endor and Saul experience and debated whether or not the apparition was really Samuel or whether it was a lying spirit.
