SABBATH SERVICES IN AUGUST
Sabbath, August 7nth
2:00-6:00
PM (Hillsdale Location) - We started the service with another teaching from the "Love
and Brotherhood." Mitzvoth 34 -
Not to curse any other Israelite (Lev. 19:14)
Sabbath, August 14nth
2:00-6:00PM (Hillsdale Location) - We have 2 more mitzvoth beyond the one given this Sabbath. This Sabbath we studied Mitzvoth 36. To rebuke the sinner (Lev. 19:17) from the "Love and Brotherhood.". We talked about how government in Messianic Israel is supposed to be run and how rebuking sinners is part of that process, if it is done according to scriptural guidelines. We then ate a fellowship meal. After the meal, we talked about "what happens when a person dies," given by Yac'ob. We enjoyed this enlightening teaching and finished our Service with fellowship. Sabbath August 21st
2:00-5:30PM (Hillsdale Location) - We opened with prayer and a discussion on the Hebrew language us so important to us. We then started the Living Israeli Hebrew program, and worked on the first worksheet. The next study was the Who Is Israel Chapter 1, and we went through the study guide. We offered prayer and thanksgiving for the food and enjoyed a nice Sabbath meal. We hope to continue to grow in Messiah, and in numbers as well. Att-8
Sabbath August 28th
2:00-6:30PM (Hillsdale Location) - Our Hebrew studies are progressing. We used the Living Israeli Hebrew program CD to hear the pronunciation and worked on the worksheet for this section. We also did Hebrew letter drills. After our Hebrew studies, we worked on another chapter of the Who Is Israel guide , chapter 2. Dinner was served and fellowship ensued. Our last study was given by brother Yac'ob, on humility. Att-6
