February Shul 2005

Friday, January 4th  6:00-11:00 PM, Jackson Location- Excellent Shul this week as we welcomed back a brother who was unable to join with us for a few months.  Our studies were interspersed with fellowship this week because we had so much to share with one another, including the trip to Cincinnati to see Rabbi Moshe K. and also the events in the lives of those who had been unable to attend. A meal was served (special thanks to sister Colleen for meal preps!)  We also discussed some issues in Zechariah and watch some DVD portions from Michael Rood ministries related to several archeological explorations.  One of portions we watched dealt with the passage in Zechariah 5:2 which speaks of a "flying scroll" that the prophet sees.  The scroll is approximately 34 feet long and about 6.5 in diameter. This "flying megilla" is also called the "curse" that goes out over all the earth.  It is said to burn with a fire that even stone is consumed in it, and even after it stops burning, it leaves a "residue" in the places where it strikes.  It is also described as having the volume of "ephah" and that inside this volume measurement, which is cased in lead, has "fire" (a better translation than woman because the Hebrew word is varied by only one yod) in it.  Rood believes that this is a picture of a nuclear ICBM that will come upon the earth and destroy many.  Another portion of his series showed where the Egyptians followed the Israelites across the Red Sea and where they perish after Yahweh brought the waves of water back down upon them.  The evidence rood offers for this location is incredibly convincing, as the bottom of the sea floor is littered with barnacles in the form of chariot wheels, axels, and the obvious wreckage of the rest of the chariots.  The barnacled wheels were all six spokes and were said to belong to the 18nth dynasty of Egyptians, of whom is said there was a king who went to battle against a "god" and was lost in a "whirlpool."  The wheel of his chariot was four spokes and made of solid gold of which barnacles cannot cling.  This very wheel was shown anchored into the bottom of the sea floor, by barnacles entrapping it from the center.  Mount Sinai was found as well, and we saw it on video, in Arabia/Midyan, where Paul says it is even though Constantine's mother said it was in Egypt.  The top of the mountain was burnt.  Also the December 25th birth date of Tammuz and Mithras, the sun deities were discussed and related to how false information gets into the world to keep the real evidences of YHWH's wonders hidden.  Also, this same date is when Antiochus Epiphanies slaughtered a pig on the holy alter in the Temple.  The rock which was split to give water to the Children of Israel was shown on the tape. Incredible evidence was presented to prove this.  Also, Elijah's cave was found, which is said to overlook where the children of Israel were encamped in order to hear YHWH and learn His teaching/Torah, through Moses.

Friday February 11th - Shul Cancelled due to multiple illness issues. We hope to meet again next week.

Friday February 18th 6:00-10:00 PM, Waldron Location - We had an excellent Shul this time around studying from the Torah portions as well as discussing various details in the Nazarene Yisraelite movement at large. A meal was served courtesy of Bro. Yac'ob - special thanks!  The Torah portion came from Shemoth 27:20 and had to do with several themes surrounding the wilderness tabernacle and temple procedures as well as some of the Cohen information. One theme that becomes clear in this passage is that YHWH set things up according to his desire and mankind is expected to follow YHWH's pattern, and not something of their own invention.  The example of Aaron's two sons were given, of whom were consumed because they offered "Strange fire."  The seven day preparation of the Cohen was discussed. As well as the priestly duties divvied up by the Urim and Thumim by the Cohen Ha'Gadol.  The daily sacrifice services were discussed , the trumpets blow, the lamb is slain, and the doors to the temple are open.  Passages of the Psalms give the liturgy of the temple sacrifices and the Sabbath services taken from Chapters 48,82,94,81,93.  Chapter 92 was the Sabbath service liturgy.  Part of the temple services was the burning of sweet incense, of which the very fragrance adhered to the structures of the temple, giving us an allegory of how our lives should be a perfume of "life" offering sweet incense up unto the Father.  Unto to those who do not accept Yahweh as King, our fragrance is one of death and judgment to them.

Friday February 25th 6:00-10:30PM, Brooklyn/Napoleon location - This Shul was one of the best, as we enjoyed excellent fellowship and a moving of the Ruach Ha' Kodesh as well as met another couple who are learning of their Hebraic Heritage.  Many concepts were explored, including the relevance of Torah in our lives, the rampant paganism in our culture and society, and the truth of the two houses of the united commonwealth of Israel.  A wonderful dinner was prepared of which we ate heartily and fellowshipped further (special thanks to Sister Fether for the meal preps!) The Torah portion was the same portion we did last Shul, because it had some issues that were relevant to our group at that moment and spoke the encompassing theme that YHWH makes a pattern, and we are expected to follow "His" pattern and not our own.
