As we will be keeping the 14th of Abib, figuring from a dark moon (New Moon) Jerusalem time, it is important to recognize that our date will be two days earlier then the Jewish calendar shows. The new moon occurs in Jerusalem this year on the morning of 4-6 (Roman dates) at 6:55 AM That means that the new moon will be figured from the previous evening, or Erev Shabbat. Counting 14 days then would put Pesach beginning at sundown on Shabbat 4-19 (Roman Date); as the 14th day, when the lamb is slain, is the 19th of the fourth month.
