MEETINGS IN SEPTEMBER 2005
Erev Shabbat, September 2nd Shul Location Waldron from 6:00-9:30PM We had a full house at this Shul as Brother Olson and his wonderful family traveled the two and a half hours down from Nashville Michigan to Waldron Michigan. The Shul started out with praise reports of people being exposed to the Set-Apart name as one brother was asked to pray for someone in the community. We also discussed our impacts in the general church community as we strive to bring the lost sheep of Israel back unto their Hebrew heritage and roots, in connection with the covenantal blessings of their Father Abraham, and the Mercy and Grace purchased by Yahshua Machiach at the tree. We discussed the pull out of Gaza and its implications for all General Yisrael as well as how Ariel Sharon is selling out his own country people and the Bush Administration is pushing Sharon to give back land to the Philistines/Palestinians. We discussed how Katrina , the hurricane that has ravaged the South developed the VERY DAY AFTER the pull out of Gaza ended. After these discussions, a great dinner was served of grilled Steak Shish ka-bob with salad, several sides, and steaming hot Amish bread fresh from the oven. (special thanks to brother James for his efforts to provide this delicious meal!) The Torah Portion was read , which was Torah Parsha 47 Re’eh 11:26-16:17 Haftarah Yeshayahu 44:11-45:5 Brit Chadasha Yochanan Alef 4:1-6, 2:18-25 and included the clean meat laws and other commandments which our Master Yahshua told us to obey. Some of the children read as well and it was good to see the youngsters who could read reading the Torah and learning alongside the adults. We talked about the need for Messianic communities, the future need for us to stay close and bonded in the face of an increasingly dangerous and troublesome world, fraught with the end times birth pains coming upon us all. Economic conditions and other conditions will no doubt draw us together to seek safety and sustenance from one another in these latter days, as the words of the Navi come to pass "Behold, the days come, saith YHWH that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of YHWH" -- Amos:8:11
Shabbat, September 10nth Shul Location Hillsdale 1:00-5:00PM This Shul began with great fellowship and stories of our interactions with those in Churchianity and the results of our conversations with those who are caught in that system. Some discussions of Katrina and the parallels with the events happening in Israel and America. There was also some response to Eddie Chumney's new teachings in Paltalk regarding the identity of Babylon as a spiritual principle, political entity, and financial empire, all of which, according to Chumney, are direct corollaries to the United States, and what is has "become." There was also talk of the Day of YHWH and how this day is a day of judgment of the nations that come against Jerusalem. The Torah Portion came from Torah Parsha 48 Shoftim 16:18-21:9 Haftarah Yeshayahu 9:1-6 Yeshayahu 49:1-6 Brit Chadasha Maaseh Shlichim 7:35-60. The portion spoke of the coming Navi and how HE would bring light unto the Akrobustio, those Ephraimites who are living in darkness, and whom they saw a great Light, one the Moshiach. The passage that had to do with absolving the blood guilt of the land was also discussed, and we spoke of how serious the issue was with YHWH. We are truly in the latter days before the great and terrible day of YHWH. In this vein, it is good to see our Yisraelite brothers who see the urgency of the situation, and seek fellowship with each other, as Yahshua commanded. Some of our brothers and sisters brave all manner of obstacles to come from 2 hours away, demonstrating a testimony to us in itself. - 1Pt:1:7: That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Yahshua Moshiach:
Erev Shabbat , September 16nth Shul Location Jackson, 6:00-10:00PM This Shul was filled with interesting insights and ideas mostly surrounding the operation of the Ruach Ha Kodesh. This idea came from the haf-Torah portion in Yeshayahu. The Parsha was Torah Parsha 49 Ki Teze 21:10-25:19 Haftarah Yeshayahu 40:1-11 Brit Chadasha Moshe Markus 1:1-14 and included several interesting aspects that we explored. As the portion was read, it was our usual custom to stop and speak about anything that struck a cord with us spiritually. The portion included several marriage regulations , including the Levirate marriage regulation that is now converted to Halitzah by the House of Judah. A wonderful dinner was served (special thanks to the Clore's for their meal provisions) and we fellowshipped well into the night. We observed the Last Supper rite of Moshiach and the blessings were recited. The Shema and prayers were offered as was our custom as well. We hope to have many more Shuls and grow in love and fellowship with one another.
Erev Shabbat , September 23rd Shul Location Hillsdale, 6:00-9:30PM Shul began with opening prayer and fellowship plus discussions of what transpired the previous week for all of us. Several incidents were discussed including a praise report in regards to the Amish boy who suffered very serious injuries and who was restored such that he will most likely not be crippled as previously feared. Baruch Ha' Shem YHWH! We also gave thanksgiving for the food and shelter we are all enjoying during a time when many in our country are going without to some degree or another. More discussion followed correlating the Hurricane Katrina to the forced evacuation of Gaza of our Judahite Brethren. The Torah Portion was taken from Torah Parsha 50 Ki Tavo 26:1-29:8 Haftarah Yeshayahu 60:1-22 Brit Chadasha Mattityahu 13:1-23 The Portion was discussed. We also discussed the booth that we put together for the Hillsdale Fair. We are hoping the booth will generate some interest in the Hebrew Roots of our Faith.
